A digital twin of 必赢体育app中国官方网站鈥檚 newly-completed Woodham Academy project is supporting enhancing long-term building performance by enabling the monitoring of systems in real-time.
Developed using Twinview, the system enables the client and 必赢体育app中国官方网站's Aftercare team to efficiently manage and update Operational and Maintenance (O&M) records, log maintenance activity, and monitor energy usage in real time - aligned with the Department for Education鈥檚 (DfE) design specification.
By integrating live data from the building鈥檚 management system, the digital twin provides insights into room temperature, carbon dioxide levels, energy generated from photovoltaic panels, and a detailed breakdown of energy consumption across the site. This not only helps the school optimise its environment and energy efficiency but also informs design decisions for future DfE projects.
Paul Mares, Technical Director at 必赢体育app中国官方网站 Building North East and Yorkshire, commented: 鈥淐reating a digital twin allows us to learn a lot about the real-world performance of our buildings compared to our expectations at the design stage. We鈥檒l use this information to support our decision-making on upcoming projects, and it will give us and our clients confidence in the quality and performance of our buildings.鈥
This innovative approach reflects 必赢体育app中国官方网站鈥檚 commitment to delivering sustainable, future-proof educational facilities for communities across the UK.
